Short answer
Sunrise pickup for the Mount Batur jeep is between 02:00 and 03:00: around 02:00 from Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta, Sanur, Uluwatu, and Nusa Dua, and closer to 03:00 from Ubud. Sunset pickups are 14:30–15:30. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included in the private jeep price.

How pickup works
A driver collects you in a car and takes you to the Kintamani jeep base, where you switch into the private 4×4 for the volcanic track. After breakfast and any hot spring, the same car brings you back. A sunrise trip returns to Ubud around 09:00–10:00 and to the south coast a little later.
Pickup is included from all the areas above. The jeep is the only ticket on this site where that is true; the ATV, rafting, and tubing offer a private shuttle for Rp 400.000 from Ubud or Rp 650.000 from the south coast.
Making a 02:00 lobby call easier
- Put the villa name and a map pin in the hotel field. Unmarked rice-field villas are hard to find at night.
- Tell your villa security or night staff that a driver is coming.
- Lay out a warm layer and closed shoes the evening before; you can sleep in the car.
- Skip breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast is served on the mountain after the viewpoint.
Should you sleep in Ubud or Kintamani first?
Only if a 02:00 alarm is a deal-breaker. Pickup is included from the south coast either way. Sleeping in Kintamani turns the drive into minutes, but you give up a night at the beach for it.
