Two hot springs on the lake
After the viewpoint, the lava field, and breakfast, the driver takes you down to the lake shore at Toya Bungkah. The water is naturally warm: the springs belong to the geothermal system of the Batur caldera, one of the features the Batur UNESCO Global Geopark protects.

- For two guests, the sit-in jeep with the Batur hot spring is Rp 2.300.000, Rp 300.000 less than the Kintamani day. The day adds a coffee tasting and a rice-terrace stop, so a couple with the whole day free may still prefer it.
- From three guests, sit-in and tracking cost the same, and the jeep with a hot spring add-on is well below the Kintamani day, because the jeep price per person drops and the day rate does not.
How the morning runs with a hot spring
Sunrise at the viewpoint, the lava field, breakfast, then the soak. Allow about an hour or more in the water. Expect to be back in Ubud around midday instead of 09:00–10:00, and later on the south coast.
What to pack for the soak
- Swimwear under your clothes, or in a bag to change into
- A small towel and a dry layer for the drive back
- Sandals; pool decks can be slippery
- A plastic bag for wet kit
Who should skip the spring
Hot water is not for everyone. If you are pregnant or have a heart or blood-pressure condition, check with your doctor before you add a soak. Families with tired young children may prefer to head straight back after breakfast.
