The distance most ads leave out
Ask any Bali ATV listing how many kilometres you actually track. If the page only says “jungle ATV” and a low price, the loop is often short, or part of the session is on village roads between photo stops.
At All New Bali Adventure in Sedang you track about 7–8 km on the arena’s own jungle loop. The whole distance stays off the public road: deep mud, river crossings, a waterfall, and the lion-head tunnel.

How long to allow, door to door
Plan 2–4 hours at the arena. That covers the English briefing on flat ground, the 7–8 km ride, a rinse, and lunch. It is not a full-day tour by itself.
Add the drive. Sedang is about 30 minutes south-west of central Ubud and about an hour from Canggu, Seminyak, or Sanur. The private shuttle is Rp 400.000 from Ubud or Rp 650.000 from the south coast, once per booking, and the driver waits. With your own driver, self-meet is free.
The same afternoon still fits a river. The Ayung rafting base is about 15 minutes from the arena, with departures at 08:30, 11:00, and 12:00. Book the ATV first, then the 11:00 or 12:00 raft. There is no afternoon rafting.
Is 7–8 km too long for a first ride?
No. The guide sets the pace of the slowest rider, and you can stop. First-timers ride the same loop as everyone else. If one person does not want to steer for that distance, put them on the back of a tandem: one 350cc quad, two people, Rp 1.100.000 per bike.
